About Me
Hello and welcome to my blog,
When I was 22 years old I was diagnosed with an STD, and it was a complete shock and totally out of the blue for me. I was working for a pharmaceutical company (who name I will not disclose), and my role was to sell a product that treated STD’s. So you can imagine my shock when I was diagnosed in having one myself!!
My first reaction was denial and then after I calmed down I was depressed for quite some time as the doctor has informed me that once you get it, you are stuck with it!!I was actually diagnosed with Genital Herpes, which is very similar to genital warts, as it is caused by the same virus.
I was too ashamed to tell anybody, and I just keep it to myself for weeks, until finally opening up to a close friend. Perhaps you can relate to this.
Looking back I am glad I told my friend, as he was the one that allowed me to get the whole thing in a bit more perspective, by allowing me to realize that it was just a skin condition, similar to pimples and acne, eczema etc…but the fact that it shows up in the genital area and is usually contracted through intercourse causes people to get weird about it.
Anyway I set up this blog to help other people who may be in the same situation, because I understand the physical and psychological trauma that contracting an STD can have on a person, and want to let you know there are very effective treatments to control outbreaks.
I also have an interest in natural medicine these days, and resigned from working for corporate Pharmaceutical companies, as I disagree strongly about the way they research and produce chemical based medicine. That is why I personally choose to promote as an affiliate, homeopathic medicines online, such as Wartrol through this site.
I think some drugs are VERY bad for you, and after promoting pharmaceuticals for these big companies, only to find out later that they are being pulled off the market because they are causing heart failure, made me extremely anger and lose faith in the industry.
I now feel holistic naturalistic medicine is a much smarter approach, because it works with the body and avoids nasty side effects in most cases.
I live a perfectly normal life now, and am now happily married. I believe one of the biggest issues surrounding all STD’s and genital warts included, is the shame that comes with contracting it. However I believe that needs to change, because in the case of genital warts, although they can be unpleasant, they are just another skin condition like acne and so I am not ashamed to show my face anymore!
I want to thank you for stopping by and I hope you feel encouraged that contracting an STD like genital warts is not the end of the world, and can very effectively be controlled.
Take care,
Anna
